Well, music fans, scratch that ole "July 1" release date off your shoppingcalendars. The release of Amy's new BEHIND THE EYES has been pushed back onceagain. I have heard "September", but no one has even committed to a date inthat month.
To borrow from Dr. Seuss:"Now please don't ask why.No one quite knows the reason."
Well, OK, someone probably knows the reason, but it isn't me.
The all-purpose answer for now is: Only time will tell. You may use thishandy answer for all the following questions:
When is the new album coming out?
When will the first single be released?
Will there still be a Christmas tour?
When will Amy tour the new album?
Will she tour internationally?
Will there be another FOA reception at Christmas?
So, what DO I know?
Well, as far as Amy goes, I know that she is planning on participating insome of the events of Dove Week beginning April 21. Hosting the WordSpectacular evening concert on the 23rd is the only event I know of forcertain. She is also planning to play in the Sara Lee Golf Tournamentbeginning May 4.
As for Friends of Amy - by golly we are going to press on with our amy-listpromotional give away/countdown to BEHIND THE EYES!! It will launch May 1 andrun through the end of September OR until the album's release date (whichevercomes first). We will do weekly drawings, have five grand prize winners andseveral little unannounced "surprise drawings" along the way. So, keep yourname on this mailing list as that is how you enter. If you're receiving thismessage in your email box - that means you're a subscriber and you areregistered to win!
As for the winners from our first contest - I plan to make a post of all thewinners and just what they won AS SOON AS I hear back from all of them. Twopeople did not respond and so I am in the process of selecting and contactingtwo more people in their stead. I have already mailed out some of the prizesand would like to wrap this up ASAP.
For as much as it depends upon me - I plan to have the June issue of thenewsletter out on time. Amy and I are to sit down and begin work on hercontributions in the next two weeks.
At the risk of continuing to sound like "the boy who cried wolf", I'll keepyou posted!
