Howdy, Friends & Neighbors!
It's been a while since I've checked in with you. To say that it's been busyis a sorry understatement. I've had my head in Christmas since February, buteven more so since the deadlines are closing in! More of that sort ofcatching up at the end of this message...
Amy's cover story in CCM Magazine hit the racks this week. I'd have to saythat it's another winner. It's almost as much commentary as it is interview.When I retrieved my issue out of the mail box, one of the first things thathit my eye was a quote from an interview with "The Call" on page 9: "I {wish}Christian musicians wrote more about their life experiences instead of tryingto be so 'on the nose' with spiritual language." - Michael Been (The Call).Boy, have we got an album for you! Conversations with Amy even effected theintro (mostly because both pieces were written by the same person, GregoryRumburg) and there is a good, honest review of the album under "What's New".Definitely worth the purchase price!

Target stores will be selling Amy's new album with a separate bonus 2 song cdof previously unreleased tracks. Only 50,000 of these bonus CDs will bemanufactured so you should try to get to a Target the week the album isreleased.

Have you seen the song video for "Takes A Little Time"? I had seen it at theoffice, but my husband had not caught it yet. So, he set the VCR to recordInsomniac Theater on VH 1 the night before last. After fast-forwardingthrough all the psychic info-mercials and other tunes - we managed to grabit! Wish I had a more precise schedule to give you so you could be sure tosee it. It's really nice!
Amy has done interviews with both "Access Hollywood" and "Prime Time Live"recently, but I have been unable to confirm air dates for either show. I alsohave a call out to find out when the episode of "CeCe's Place" is to air onThe Odyssey Channel. Amy taped her segment back in May and it is to airsometime in September or October.

My biggest challenge is to get an October newsletter out of Amy on her briefvisits to Nashville :-) I'm trying to think creatively and have an idea for away to do it that we've never tackled before... I'll let you know how I'mprogressing...
And, it's Christmastide at FOA HQ! This weekend, I'm working on a mailing toall our current subscribers requesting information about the TennesseeChristmas tour. We are able to offer an advance ticket purchase perk -hurray! I have been called upon to help with the local promotion of theseshows - so I'm honored and pleased to be a part of all that! I was glad to beable to work out special FOA hotel rates in at least eight of the cities onthe tour. (Look for this info in your mailing...) I also turned in the listof requests for advance ticket forms for the Nashville shows to the symphonyoffice last week. We had 432 folks from 40 states, 3 from Canada, 1 each fromNorthern Ireland, England, Holland and Germany! I also pulled from ourmailing list for a post card mailing from A&M to announce the new albumrelease and the above mentioned Listen Line phone number. So, if you're onour hardcopy mailing list - you can keep an eye on your mailbox next week!
In the midst of the hectic work schedule, my able assistant, Jeri, broke herfoot on Monday night. She is doing fine, but moving a little slower thanusual. Then last night, I had to call my husband home from work to take ouryoungest girl to ER with a gash in her thigh. It looks a bit like a M*A*S*Hunit around here! Thanks for bearing with us. Neither rain nor snow norcrutches nor ice packs will keep us from our appointed posts!
