9/8/97 Amy List Update
Hello, Everyone!!
One day and counting!The day we've all been waiting for and it's almost here! Tuesday, September 9- the release of Amy's BEHIND THE EYES.

Wanted to give you this hot-off-the-presses update:
Amy's feature in McCall's magazine is in the OCTOBER edition. Picked it up atthe grocery this morning. (Just look for a rather tacky photo of JuliaRoberts on the cover.) On page 45, there is a nice, small feature under"Celebrity At Home". They have included some really nice shots of Amy and all3 kids in and around their home. Check it out!
My husband called from work to tell me that Amy is also in this morning'sTennessean Newspaper. I'll pick that up when I take him his lunch thisafternoon...
I tuned into The Brian Mason Show just late enough Sunday morning to discoverthat Amy had already been there and gone for the morning :-( Looking forwardto receiving my taped copy of the broadcast...
And the latest CCM Update's lead story was "Album Lyrics Raise Questions -Lack of "Christian" content complicates Dove Award eligibility, chartplacement decisions". And of course - at the centerpiece of this debate isAmy's BEHIND THE EYES. I can see that it would present problems to thosewhose job it is to classify and define and label and group that music that isbeing released. I find it interesting that the very person whose work helpeddefine "Christian music" in the 80's is the same person who is once againchanging the way the industry looks at the fruits of its own labor. Not onlywill individual listeners be moved to some soul-searching, but it appearsthat an entire professional musical genre will, as well!
