Christmas Tix Update 9/23

September 23, 1997

Tuesday, September 23, 1997

For those of you who are not the slightest bit interested in informationabout tickets to any of Amy's Christmas shows - just go ahead and deleteright now :-)

For the Nashville Shows - December 3 & 4
The original deadline that is printed on the order forms that have beenmailed from the symphony office is today. Because of the delay in gettingthose forms in the mail, they have extended the deadline to OCTOBER 8.These forms can be mailed along with your payment by either check or creditcard information. They have all gone in the mail, so if you haven't gottenyours yet, please know that it is on it's way! Make sure that it's in themail by OCTOBER 8.

For the regional shows -I have requested a listing of the main ticket offices in each of the venuesalong with their phone numbers. As soon as I receive this information, Iwill make a post of it. As some of you have been finding - the tour infoisn't even in the system of most of the local ticket outlets. Please notethat the arrangements we have made for the use of the advance ticketpurchase coupon have been done with the promotion company and coordinatedwith the local promoter. The TicketMaster offices in the cities are NOTgoing to have any knowledge of this advance purchase opportunity. In themean time, if you wish to call the venue, they should be able to give youthe number of their main box office and confirm the date the tickets willgo on sale. As I have more specific info on this subject, I will certainlypass it along.

I do realize that the fact the coupon must be presented in person providesan inconvenience for many of you. But there is no other way for each ticketseller in each city to confirm whether or not you are eligible for thepriviledge unless you have something to present in person. For those of youwho are out of town (or out of state), you can send your card to a friendor family member in the city where the venue is located. I suggest that youinclude a letter of recommendation giving that person authority to purchasetickets on your behalf just in case they are asked to produce some sort ofidentification.

All of this is brand new to us. Hopefully we can make the system smootherwith a little experience. Of course, having a good response to the advanceticket sale opportunity will only help insure that we will have more in thefuture!

Thanks for bearing with us as we continue to work to put this thingtogether for you!
