Thursday, THANKSGIVING DAY!
Greetings one and all!
Hope you are enjoying/have enjoyed a restful and thankful holidayweekend.
Here are just a few bits and pieces that I wanted to share with youbefore I get lost in picking Christmas trees and playing my favoritecontact sport - Christmas shopping!
ON NASHVILLE CHRISTMAS SHOW TIX...
Thanks to sharp-eyed Marc Drumm, we have this from our local paper:
"More than 1,000 extra tix for each of Amy Grant's Christmas shows Dec.3 and 4 have become available. Call TicketMaster at 255-9600 startingat noon today if you wanna catch the Nashville Arena show, alsofeaturing Vince Gill, Michael W. Smith, Gary Chapman, and Faith Hill."
ON OUR FOA WEB SITE...
Have you been to the FOA site lately? The milk mustache ad and two pages from the new Christmas tour programwent up on 11/24. As Marc commented, "Not only does milk do a bodygood, it's doing our site good, too. We had our busiest day on the24th since the site went up, over 800 visitors!" Find us athttp://www.amygrant.com
ON AMY'S CHAT FROM THE BLUEBIRD...Sunday night November 16 history was made when Amy participated in herfirst ever internet chat from Nashville's infamous Bluebird Cafe. Youcan find the transcript by visiting the Nashville CitySearch site.

ON THE POSTMAN SOUNDTRACK PROJECT...
Amy's vocal is predominantly featured on the song "You Didn't Have ToBe So Nice" from the soundtrack of Kevin Costner's new movie "ThePostman". Kevin even provides some backing vocals for this song. WarnerBrothers is to release the soundtrack December 23. I have not heard ifthis song is slated to be a single or not.
A SAM'S PLACE CHRISTMAS SHOW...
Gary Chapman will once again host a holiday happening at The RymanAuditorium. As in years past, the concert will benefit The SalvationArmy "Angel Tree" Project. Admission for the Thursday December 18 showis a ticket and a toy for the project. Tickets are $22.00 and areavailable from Ticketmaster beginning December 5. Much like Miss Amy'sholiday shows, Sam's Christmas sells out quickly. Call 255 9600 fortickets. (Amy will not be participating this year as the Christmas tourwill be in Indianapolis that night.)
A LITTLE NASHVILLE TRIVIA...
Last month, The Tennessean newspaper printed its '97 Readers' ChoiceAwards. Both Chapmans were well represented. Amy was voted "FavoriteNoncountry Babe" over two anchorwomen. Gary was the 2nd "FavoriteCelebrity Transplant" between Garth Brooks and Donna Summer. Gary alsoposed in a funny spoof shot with local anchor Dan Miller and got tolist his own favorites. So did Michael W. Smith, who was voted"Favorite Noncountry Hunk". What a hoot!
Enough for this time...
