Hey, in case you haven't heard Habitat for Humanity is building a Habitat House in honor of Amy Grant. The project was started by two local admirers of Amy and her music. Michelle McNeil and Reba Baskett, both residents of the Nashville area, came up with the idea as a way to give back to Amy for all that she has done for people from all over the world. Because of their drive and determination, the money was raised, and a Ground Breaking ceremony took place this past Saturday. The home will be built in North Nashville. Construction plans for the build include the next four weekends: April 17-18, 24-25, May 1-2, and 8-9. Construction will begin each of these days at 7:00 a.m., and will end sometime around 5:00 p.m. If you, or anyone that you know is interested in donating time for the build or food and/or drinks for any of these days, please contact Michelle McNeil at [email protected] for more information.
There are still a lot of spots left for volunteers and a lot of food that needs to be donated. Remember....every little bit helps.
